Forager's Gin Black Label: The St David's Day Special Edition Short-Run.

St David's Day, celebrated on the 1^st March each year, is an important day in Wales. It's the national day. It's been celebrated annually since the 12th century.

 

To mark and celebrate it this year, one of Wales' award-winning distilleries, Snowdonia Distillery, is launching something special. A special edition short-run of just 25 bottles, that will see it's bottles printed in real silver.

 

Snowdonia Distillery, located in the foothills of Snowdonia, is the craft distillery behind the product Forager's Gin: their limited-release, craft gin which incorporates hand-foraged botanicals and the pure mountain waters of Snowdonia. They will release just 25, special-edition bottles of Forager's Black Label Gin.

 

But getting these is going to be tough. Nine have been distributed to just three of Forager's Gin's Welsh-based approved stockists, including the High Street Deli in Newtown, The Grape to Glass in Rhos-on-sea, and Pale Hall Hotel in Bala. The remaining 16 bottles will be put up for sale directly from the distillery's online store from 9am on Wednesday morning.

 

Forager's Black Label Gin, builds on the success of their award-winning Forager's Yellow Label Gin. Bucking the trend, Black Label is one of only a handful of premium craft gins from around the world that uses just two botanicals: Juniper and Sea Buckthorn, creating an incredibly smooth, elegant, gin bottled at 46% abv.

 

The Special Edition bottle, will see a significant change to the distinctive 'Forager's map' that wraps around each bottle as it is printed using precious metal. But for Forager's Gin, it's not about charging more, the Special Edition short run won't retail for anymore than the regular version.

 

Speaking to co-founder and owner of Forager's Gin, Chris Marshall "It's about celebrating, and doing something special. St David's Day is a great national day in Wales, and we wanted to join the celebrations. So we thought it would be perfect to launch a special edition short-run. The real silver map looks incredible."

 

The St David's Day, Special Edition Short-run will retail at £46.00; the same price as Forager's Black Label Gin normally retails for.
