Crafting the Perfect Yellow Label Martini This Summer

Posted in Cocktails

What’s the ultimate test for any gin? That’s right: your classic Gin Martini.

Because it’s such a simple cocktail, there’s nowhere to hide. The mixologist has to know what they’re about and the ingredients themselves have to really sing. We strongly believe you don’t
need sunny weather to justify cracking open the cocktail shaker this summer, so we recently caught up with ‘Gin Thing’ blogger Marcus to see how he’d use Forager’s Gin to make the ultimate Gin
Martini.

Combining two parts Forager’s Yellow Label with one part Dolin Dry Vermouth, Marcus explained the reasoning behind his choice of ingredients…

“Not unlike the mountainous botanicals in Forager’s Yellow Label, Dolin source the botanicals for their Vermouth from the Alpine meadows above Chambery. It seemed too good a coincidence not to try these together in a Martini.  Adding the lemon twist gives the drinker that lemon aroma which adds to the experience. Looks great too. It is probably the best Martini we have made.”

Don’t fight the temptation. Give it a go yourselves.
